New OnePlus Phone?
OnePlus has recently sent out press invites to an October 29th event with the message #PowerfullyBeautiful. The teaser image shown shows an X, leaving us to speculate that the phone is going to be called the OnePlus X. A similar X shape was used in the teaser for an event in India that took place earlier this week. There is also a Twitter post linked embedded.

Shortly after the teaser appeared, a handset named the OnePlus Mini was accidently posted on the Amazon India website. This phone revealed most of the specifications. The next OnePlus smartphone looks to be a mid range device. The handset features a 5-inch 1080p display(401 PPI) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 along with Synaptics’ ClearForce Technology. The listing also says that an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 SoC will be powering the device, along with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 2,450mAh battery. The handset is said to be running Oxygen 3.0 OS, which is based off Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Not Enough for You?
Don’t think that’s enough? Look at the picture below. It shows an image of the device along with specifications. The two listings contradict with specifications and the name of the device, also suggesting that there will be two variants. The picture below shows similar specification to the OnePlus One from last year. It also shows the same price as the price of the One plus One currently. This page below was quickly pulled of the Oppomart, well at least not before British news site Times News could get a quick screenshot.
The company’s CEO previously said that its new phone would offer a new design with mid-range specs and a low price. From the looks of it the OnePlus X or the OnePlus Mini is turning out to be a pretty good mid-range device. Let’s just hope it can live up to the brand and name of OnePlus
