If you’ve been catching up on our latest articles, you know we’ve talked about the Intel Pentium G3258 processor many many times. Today, I will be bench-marking this CPU’s performance and comparing it to the AMD Athlon X4 860K. You guys will be surprised how well the G3258 holds up against the quad core Athlon X4 860K. My apologies for the image quality, they were saved in the wrong size.
After these results, I’m very surprised at how well the G3258 Performed even though it is a dual core processor. I would recommend the G3258 instead of the X4 860K, since it overclock-able to 4.7GHz, and you can upgrade later to an Intel Core i7 4960K if you wish. Meanwhile, the X4 860K cannot upgrade to the FX 6300, or any other FX processors which are better.
