Samsung’s new Galaxy S7 new flagship is only a couple months away from it’s rumored launch at CES, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are getting old now, what can we expect from the Korean company?
Display and Design
We don’t know design of the S7, there has been rumors of an magnesium build. We know one thing for sure that there is going to be no plastic as Samsung has done away with that in their S6 phone and replaced it with a much better glass and metal build. Also, undoubtedly Samsung will add an Edge variant with a dual curved screen to go along with the flat variant. As for the display we can expect a QHD display (1440×2560) along with a 5.1 inch display with a PPI count of 577. We can expect this to be just as good as any other Galaxy display with a QHD resolution. The most interesting and eye catching rumored feature is a pressure-sensitive display, similar to the 3D Touch display of the iPhone 6s.
Camera and Specs
We don’t expect Samsung to change the 16 megapixel camera too much. Although there has been rumors of a 20 Megapixel camera floating around. We can expect Samsung to make their own Exynos processor, as it was a huge hit, bringing fantastic speeds. Along with 4GB of RAM. Samsung needs to up their battery game on their flagships as it is not the best.
Samsung is one of the biggest tech and diverse tech companies and it is starting to lose it’s edge in the smartphone market. Let’s just hope the S7 can change all that.
